Forget about Dorothy and Toto, the Land of Oz is chock full of incredible stories that happened long before a girl from Kansas and her dog showed up. 

Wicked explores the story of Glinda the Good Witch and her very misunderstood nemesis Wicked Witch. If you are even remotely interested in big productions and instantly classic songs, Wicked Broadway show is an absolute must see. 

Wicked was an immediate sensation in New York when it premiered in 2004. That year, it was nominated for 10 Tony awards and won 3 including Best Scenic Design and Best Costume Design. 

The show itself is absolutely magnificent visually.  In Wicked, we finally get to see how Glinda the Good Witch had a hand in the creation of the Wicked image that her school mate Elphaba eventually embraces. 

Like many young kids, Elphaba is different. With an astute mind and naturally green skin, Elphaba was never going to fit in. She is both passionate and committed and completely misunderstood by Glinda and her popular friends. 

Wicked Broadway show brilliantly explores the relationships between women, reminds us that what appears to be true isn't always so, and cleverly takes another look at a classic American icon of evil.
